Social life in the community of Salo Adea, Tellulimpoe Village, Soppeng Regency, faces challenges in the form of low collective awareness and limited access to information regarding the resolution of community issues. It is important to address this topic to foster residents’ self-reliance through a critical understanding of social values. This community service research aims to describe the process and impact of social literacy mentoring on the local community. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which involves the stages of problem mapping, interactive training, focused group discussions, and collective action. The results of the community service initiative show an increase in the community’s understanding of the importance of social cohesion, effective communication, and mutual cooperation in addressing local dynamics. Community members who were previously passive are now able to identify potential solutions and formulate independent solutions to environmental and social problems. In conclusion, social literacy has proven to be an effective tool for transforming mindsets and strengthening the capacity for local community empowerment. The success of this program has important implications for the sustainability of social harmony and resilience in rural communities.
